- "1924 saw the building by the Council of a new Fire Station at Bargoed, the purchase of a motor-driven fire engine and the establishment of the Brigade on a full-time basis supported by part-time volunteers. The Council was one of the smallest authorities in the country to have a full-time brigade." - unknown if this is the station referred to, or a previous one
Luke Jones
- Station was built on stilts, and weight of WrT, PE & L4P was too heavy, and building started to fall apart. Replaced by William Street fire station in 1965. Aberbargoed closed at same time |
